Een belangrijk deel van het assortiment bestaat uit geluidisolerende panelen, zoals het BARYFLOOR/SONOPANEL-programma. Dit programma omvat zowel zware platen met een kunststof kern van hoge densiteit (circa 2.400 kg per m3) als lichtere, meer flexibele panelen. Deze producten zorgen voor een zeer effectieve luchtgeluidisolatie. De isolatiewaarden staan uitgebreid vermeld in afzonderlijke productbladen, die op aanvraag gaarne worden toegezonden.<br> <br> Doordat bij Van Styn verschillende disciplines<br> verenigd zijn in één bedrijf, hebben klanten keuze uit een zeer breed scala aan mogelijkheden. In kantoorcomplexen, showrooms, restaurants, winkels, villa’s enz. creëren zij met luxe gefineerde materialen fraaie interieurs die opvallen door een aangename, warme sfeer. Daarbij blijft de toepassing niet beperkt tot wanden. Als decoratieve plafondplaten vormen Van Styn panelen eveneens een waardevol accent in tal van interieurs.<br> <br> <b>Traditie en Vakmanschap<br> </b>Lange historie<br> De topklasse gefineerde panelen en sandwich panelen die vandaag de dag onder de naam Van Styn worden gefabriceerd, vinden hun oorsprong in een lange traditie van degelijk vakmanschap. Het begon allemaal in 1929, toen de gebroeders Van Stijn de meubelfabriek Ficar oprichtten. Van lieverlee verschoof het accent naar de vervaardiging van plaatmateriaal. Daarom werd in 1958 de naam gewijzigd in Van Stijn Triplex B.V.. In 1995 verhuisde de onderneming naar de huidige locatie en ontstond Van Stijn Rijnwoude. Voortdurende productontwikkeling leidde begin 2002 tot de oprichting van Van Styn Marine Plywood en Van Styn Sandwich Panels. Door de nieuwe schrijfwijze van de naam van de oprichters werd hierbij het internationale karakter van de activiteiten onderstreept.<br> <br> Ambachtelijk én hightech<br> Hoewel gebruikgemaakt wordt van de modernste productiemethoden, zoals bijvoorbeeld CNC-gestuurde machines en een geautomatiseerde lakstraat, blijft ambachtelijk vakmanschap op het gebied van houtbewerking het hechte fundament voor een belangrijk deel van het assortiment. Dat begint al bij het inkopen van de beste soorten fineer in het Verre Oosten, die vervolgens in Nederland worden verwerkt in de fraaiste gefineerde panelen. Een activiteit met hightech-aspecten is de productie van geluidisolerende sandwich panelen. Ook hierbij worden houtbewerkingstechnieken gebruikt, maar vormen hoogwaardige kunststoffen het basismateriaal. It all started in 1929, when the brothers Van Styn founded the furniture factory Ficar. Over time, the accent moved to the production of panel material. So in 1958, they changed the name to Van Stijn Triplex B.V. In 1995, the company moved to the current location and Van Stijn Rijnswoude was founded. Continuous product development led to the foundation of Van Styn Marine Plywood and Van Styn Sandwich panels in the beginning of 2002. The new spelling of the name of the founders stresses the international character of the activities. <br> <br> Traditional and high-tech<br> Even though we make use of modern production methods, like CNC-operated machines and an automated lacquer machine, traditional skills in the field of woodworking remain the strong basis of the major part of the selection. An activity with high-tech aspects is the production of sound insulating sandwich panels. In this process we also make use of woodworking techniques, but high-quality plastics are the basis.
